Priyadarshani Dandekar, Career Counsellor | Legal Academic | Development Coach
Based in Pune, Priyadarshani holds a BA in Political Science, LLB, and LLM in Constitutional and Business Laws. She began her career in legal practice before transitioning into academia and counselling.
She most recently served as a Constitutional Law faculty and Development Coach at Ufaber Pvt. Ltd., mentoring UPSC aspirants. Prior to that, she was a Research Associate and Law Faculty at MIT World Peace University, Pune, where she also led multiple departments and the Academic Process Office, overseeing student engagement and counselling.With expertise in teaching, research, administration, and career counselling, she brings a well-rounded, student-centric approach to education and development.
Prof.Priyadarshani stands out for me as a thoughtful, kind, intellectually mature and wise person. I have had the pleasure to work with her. She is well informed and has a wealth of resources to draw upon for diagnostics, learning and overcoming challenges you bring to her. Her advice tends to percolate over time such that even months after talking to her, new and better ways of seeing the world continue to arise. She is a phenomenal listener and best colleague to ask for. And, when appropriate, will challenge what you say, encouraging you very effectively to re-appraise how you see the world. I always came out feeling more positive, energized and renewed with a spring in my step whenever I talk to her.
Prof. Priyadarshani helped me realizing my interest towards law as a career. She has been a guiding light for me since the very beginning and when I didn’t believed in myself, she did and I feel so lucky that in such a crucial time, I got such a great mentor. During the law school, Priyadarshani ma’am was like a true mentor who guided me at every step. Whether academic or non academic guidance, she has always been there. Whenever I needed any sort of help, she’s always just a call away. After completing my Law School, I’m looking forward for her guidance for my LL.M and for my future prospectus. I believe that her guidance will be extremely useful and beneficial in making my future.
Prof. Priyadarshani has been a source of motivation for me since the beginning of the Law School. She helped me in realizing my true potential and my capabilities. I got to know my real worth because of her. During my time at Law School with her, she comforted me with the changed atmosphere of college and the hesitation I once had with people was completely gone. Since I was new in the city, she ensured that I face no problem and whether academic or any personal issue, she was always there. After my Law School, Prof. Priyadarshani’s will be providing me guidance for my future decisions with respect to my further studies and career aspect. Her advice's are something which I shall be looking forward to ensure I take the right decision and right path.
An ideal professor is not just defined by their technical knowledge and experience in the classroom. A true defining factor is also by their skills at understanding their students. Prof. Priyadarshani truly came to be the living example of the above statement. She has always been understanding of students' needs and necessities. A steadfast professor who had the capability of handling any crisis we faced as students. It would be no understatement to call her the rock of the law school during her time there. Prof. Priyadarshani has always been dependable for students. Students could always feel free to share their troubles with her whether it be regarding adjusting to the law school or a new city. After my law school journey when I step into the professional world I know I can depend on the teachings of Prof. Priyadarshani to be my guiding light for me in all my endeavours.
Priyadarshani Ma’am, or as we all like to call her, Priya Ma’am has always been a guiding figure for all the students. Not only does she have a wide range of knowledge about the subject and is well read but she is also a wonderful counsellor. Whenever we felt low in our careers and life, she has been there for us. She has always instilled positive beliefs and values in us and always made sure we were prepared for every problem life throws at us in the future.
Priyadarshani ma’am is a true mentor who helped me in uplifting my confidence in both academic and non academic phase. During my initial days in law school, I was a bit scared and sceptical about things, but Ma’am made me comfortable and inspired me in taking part at cultural events and academic debates which boosted my interest and confidence. I am forever grateful to ma’am for this.
